Authenticity is often presented as the highest state of personal growth. But what if authenticity alone isn’t enough?
In this episode of the Maybe Mindful Podcast, Hannah explores the difference between authenticity and truth, and why simply expressing what is present within us does not necessarily mean we are operating from our true self.
In a culture that constantly encourages us to “speak our truth” and “be authentic,” many people are sincerely searching for their identity. Yet much of what we believe about ourselves was formed early in life through conditioning, emotional imprinting, and subconscious beliefs that we absorbed before we had the ability to question them.
When these beliefs go unexamined, what feels authentic may actually be a protective part of the psyche — an emotional echo from the past rather than a reflection of present truth.
Hannah discusses the concept of emotional resonance, why disproportionate reactions often reveal deeper subconscious patterns, and why authenticity without discernment can sometimes reinforce the very wounds we are trying to heal.
She also addresses the viral claim that authenticity “vibrates higher than love,” explaining why this idea is both scientifically unsupported and spiritually misleading.
This conversation explores the deeper journey of deconditioning, the importance of emptying the cup, and why reconnecting with the true self requires both discernment and an anchor in truth.
In this episode we explore
• Why authenticity and truth are not always the same• The difference between the true self and the false self• Emotional resonance and disproportionate reactions• Why feelings are not always facts• The dangers of “my truth” culture• Why authenticity alone cannot guide the spiritual path• The viral claim that authenticity vibrates higher than love• Why love is the deeper orienting principle• The importance of emptying the cup to rediscover the unobstructed self• How subconscious work helps restore connection to our true identity
Key reflections
Authenticity reveals what is present.Love refines what is present.
Much of what we believe about ourselves is on loan until we discover what is true.
The goal is not to be authentic to our wounds. The goal is to return to the truth of who we are.

What if healing doesn’t always take time…but permission?
In this episode, I explore the difference between transformation and transmutation — not managing symptoms, not coping harder, but changing the state underneath the pain.
We talk about:
Why some emotional pain shifts instantly• The difference between surface change and substance change• How resistance hardens emotion• Why presence allows energy to reorganize• The nervous system’s role in emotional release• Faith as an organizing force• Why grief, anger, and fear are not fixed identities
Emotions are not permanent structures. They are energy in motion.
And when that energy is met instead of resisted, something profound can happen.
This episode is about remembering that healing and freedom are not always slow.
Sometimes pain doesn’t need more time.
Sometimes it needs to change form.

In this episode of the Mae B Mindful Podcast, Hannah Mae explores one of the most overlooked yet powerful tools we have as humans: our attention.
Through personal reflection, nervous-system wisdom, and spiritual insight, Hannah unpacks how what we consistently focus on shapes our perception, emotional state, and overall life trajectory. She shares why worry and overthinking don’t create clarity, how sustained attention gives thoughts authority over our feeling state, and how reclaiming discernment restores peace, intuition, and agency.
This conversation also weaves in timely reflections on media consumption, collective trauma, and the importance of safeguarding our inner world—so we can remain grounded, present, and available to truth, joy, and love.
In this episode, you’ll hear about:
Why attention is one of our greatest human gifts
The connection between imagination, perception, and focus
How sustained attention gives thoughts authority over feeling state
Why worry creates contraction instead of clarity
The difference between descending into the wound and transmuting it
How perception shifts can completely change your life trajectory
Discernment, spiritual authority, and safeguarding the mind
Media consumption, collective trauma, and nervous system care

What if the thing that keeps stealing your peace isn’t your partner, your children, or your circumstances — but the moment you step out of your own lane? In this episode, I explore radical self-responsibility — not as self-blame, and not as fixing yourself — but as returning to your own inner authority. The kind of responsibility that softens you back into presence, clarity, and grounded power.
I share a real-life story from a recent family trip — navigating sudden travel decisions, teenage pushback, emotional triggers, and the temptation to manage everyone’s experience in order to feel okay myself. And in that moment, I was reminded: the most direct path to harmony in our relationships isn’t changing others. It’s returning to ourselves.
We explore why humility is the doorway to true power, why fixing and controlling others drains us, how witnessing can be more loving than correcting, and why acceptance doesn’t mean liking — it means releasing control. I talk about staying in your lane, not personalizing emotional reactions, setting boundaries without blame, and how taking responsibility for even your “1%” restores peace and agency. We also touch on fear as future-tripping, and gratitude as a stabilizing spiritual force that brings us back to center.
This is a conversation about remaining grounded when everything around you invites reaction — and how peace becomes possible when you stop trying to hold the whole world together.
In this episode, we explore:
• Radical self-responsibility as inner authority• Parenting without personalizing• Staying in your lane instead of controlling• Boundaries without blame• Witnessing instead of fixing• Acceptance as a spiritual practice• Fear as future-tripping• Gratitude as a stabilizing force
If you’ve ever felt responsible for everyone’s emotional state, tried to manage people into harmony, or found yourself exhausted by disappointment in relationships — this episode is for you.

In the first episode of 2026, we’re talking about something that’s especially relevant in January — when we’re setting intentions, making spiritual commitments, and declaring who we’re becoming.
But here’s the truth: the soul doesn’t reset like a calendar — it integrates. And when we skip integration and patch the outside, we can accidentally fall into spiritual bypassing.
In this episode, Hannah Mae explains:
What spiritual bypassing is and why it’s usually unconscious
How “holy ideals” can be weaponized against ourselves and others
Why bypassing doesn’t make us well — it deteriorates our spiritual condition over time
How bypassing shows up through forgiveness, toxic positivity, condemnation, activism, fixing others, escapist spirituality, and boundary avoidance
Why suppressed emotions become trapped energy in the body (and how it spills out sideways)
The reframe: fear is a non-event — and healing is often faster than avoidance
The solution: surrender, receptivity, co-regulation, honest emotional processing, subconscious work, and embodiment
If this resonates, you’re not broken — you’ve adapted wisely — and something deeper is calling you forward.

As we close out 2025 and step into a new year, this episode is an invitation to return to what truly sustains us: presence.
In a world that constantly pulls us outward — through technology, noise, fear, and distraction — peace isn’t found by fixing circumstances. It’s found by anchoring inward and strengthening our relationship with presence… what many of us call God.
In this episode, I explore:
Why presence is deeply spiritual — and why it heals
How prayer is meant to change us, not control outcomes
The difference between desperate prayer, surrendered prayer, and believing prayer
Why outcome-based prayers often keep us stuck
How attachment, control, and fear block receptivity
What happens when prayer starts “working” — including disruption, detox, and deep transformation
How surrender and humility open the door to true freedom
Why asking for the feeling you desire is more powerful than asking for the outcome
How prayer, meditation, and self-hypnosis tune the subconscious for clarity and healing
Prayer is not about forcing change outside of you. It’s about becoming receptive to what’s already available — peace, guidance, grace, and truth.
As we move into 2026, may this be a year of deeper presence, trust, and inner authority.

In this episode, Hannah opens up about subconscious healing, faith, personal transformation, and why so many people remain stuck in emotional pain even while trying their best to “do the work.” She explores how deep healing happens beneath the surface of the conscious mind, and why fear, misunderstanding, and spiritual confusion often block people from the freedom they’re seeking.
Hannah also speaks candidly about her own journey — addiction recovery, Christ-centered spirituality, hypnobirthing, and her professional path into hypnosis. She addresses common fears within faith-based communities, the difference between discernment and fear, and why subconscious work can be a powerful ally on the spiritual path.
In this episode, we explore:• Why emotional triggers intensify around the holidays• How unhealed wounds show up in everyday interactions• Common Christian fears about hypnosis (and what’s actually true)• The difference between discernment and fear-based rigidity• How the subconscious holds old stories and limiting beliefs• Why self-help strategies don’t create lasting change• How hypnosis mirrors the brain states in deep prayer and contemplation• Hannah’s birth experiences and the power of self-hypnosis• How to discern a grounded, trustworthy practitioner• The role of spirituality and faith in deep inner work
Perfect for anyone curious about subconscious healing, inner transformation, and a faith-aligned path into deeper emotional freedom.

This episode offers a reframe of our understanding of pain, struggle, and life’s contradictions by introducing a radical spiritual lens: The Way of Paradox. Through the tension of opposites — grief and love, fear and faith, surrender and striving — we uncover not only the path to healing but the very ground where God meets us.
Drawing inspiration from mystics like Meister Eckhart and depth psychologist Carl Jung, Hannah explores how true transformation doesn’t come from bypassing pain, but from walking through it — holding space for both light and dark. She shares a moving story from a funeral that sparked this reflection, and connects it with how Conversational Hypnosishelps us shift perspective, access the subconscious, and experience profound healing.
If you’ve ever felt trapped in your struggle or disillusioned by surface-level “fixes,” this conversation offers you something deeper: a doorway to the divine within the very contradiction you’re facing.
💡 Topics Covered:
The sacred paradox: why true growth often begins in tension
Why light is accessed through darkness — not in spite of it
The tension of opposites and its role in psychological/spiritual individuation
Meister Eckhart’s teaching: God is the ground where opposites meet
The spiritual trap of judging experiences as “good” or “bad”
How grief can become despair — or a doorway to grace
Carl Jung’s “third way” and what it means for your healing
The Cross as a cosmic paradox of death and transcendence
The power of subconscious work to reframe unsolvable problems
Real-life insights from a recent client session (and the surprising message Hannah received herself)
Why awareness of spiritual warfare is important — but fear doesn’t get the final say
If you're in the stretch…
If you’re in the middle of your own undoing, unraveling, or contradiction — this episode is here to offer illumination, not answers. You’re not broken. You’re becoming. And your healing might just begin in the paradox you're trying to avoid.
✨ Mentioned in This Episode:
The Way of Paradox (teachings on Meister Eckhart)
Carl Jung’s writings on the tension of opposites
